Meet Swati Kirve, Monument Bank's Mobile Engineering Lead, a true tech powerhouse.

Swati's remarkable achievements have earned her a finalist spot in the esteemed Woman in Technology (W.I.T.) award category at the forthcoming BankingTech Awards 2023.

In this blog, we share Swati’s story to uncover the values, strategies, and passion that have made her a standout figure in the industry and a monumental member of our team.

A driving force from Day 1

Swati joined Monument in September 2022. The world of Fintech has always held a special allure for her, and Monument's commitment to innovation and excellence presented the perfect platform to realise her professional aspirations.

From her first day, Swati has achieved remarkable results. Her strategies for achieving a 40% increase in mobile app releases, alongside substantial improvements in quality and productivity, have been pivotal.

Her emphasis on streamlined development processes, enhanced team collaboration, and the adoption of agile methodologies has not only accelerated the pace of our mobile app updates but has also ensured their quality.

Building a high-performance team

Swati's leadership philosophy is all about building great teams. She puts a strong emphasis on having diverse teams with a mix of skills that complement each other.

When it comes to hiring, it's not just about technical skills; it's also about finding the right fit for the team's culture. And once the team is in place, she's a big believer in mentorship, providing support and regular feedback, and making sure everyone gets the recognition they deserve.

Building exceptional teams is not just about skill, but synergy. I believe in fostering diversity, finding the right cultural fit, and empowering every team member through mentorship, support, and recognition.

Industry participation is essential

Stepping outside the confines of the office and engaging in discussions and debates with industry peers is an essential part of Swati’s approach.

Initiatives like participating in panel discussions provide an avenue for her to share her expertise and insights, contributing to the progress of the mobile banking industry.

Empowering women through sport

Swati's commitment to making a difference goes beyond the corporate world. She's deeply passionate about championing women through sports, particularly in her involvement with the Inspiring Indian Women (IIW) Group and her strong affinity for women's cricket.

Swati firmly believes that sports offer more than just recreation; they provide a unique platform to promote equality and inclusivity. As a mentor and member at Emmbrook & Bearwood Cricket Club, she focuses on nurturing emerging talents, shattering traditional barriers, and encouraging more women to step onto the playing field.

Swati is a strong advocate for women in sports, as demonstrated by her active involvement in the Inspiring Indian Women (IIW) Group.

Swati's vision is clear: sports, in her view, are a means to instill confidence, leadership qualities, and a sense of empowerment in every woman who participates. Her dedication reflects the understanding that sports can be a powerful catalyst for positive change, transcending societal norms and making a genuine impact on the path towards gender equality.

Sports have the incredible potential to empower women by breaking boundaries and fostering confidence. By nurturing talents and creating a welcoming environment, we're not just playing a game; we're shaping a brighter future for women everywhere.

The heart of her local community

For Swati, getting involved in charity and community engagement is both a responsibility and a privilege. She truly believes in the power of people coming together to support shared causes. It's a collective effort that not only enriches the lives of those they aim to help but also contributes to their personal growth.
